Well I’m sittin’ in this union hall
Tell me brother, what’s botherin’ ya?
I’ll fight ‘til the bitter end.
Won’t back down, never my friend.

Chorus
(Call to order brother. Call to order sister.)
Local 809. Local 809.
Local 809. Local 809.

Blood from the earth is calling to me.
Fight for your rights. Tell them to believe.
Don’t back down, never my friend.
Fight for your rights, to the bitter end.

This gaping hole will swallow you up.
If you don’t bother to scream & shout.
Don’t blast here! Don’t trample on me!
These are the lives of men, you see!

(Listen here!)

Refrain
Raise your hands in the air!
Let me hear you!

Chorus
Local 809. Local 809.
Local 809. Local 809.

Refrain
Raise your hands in the air!
Let me hear you!

Chorus
Local 809. Local 809.
Local 809. Local 809.
